Kathy Garrett manages Detroit Bird Alliance’s membership and donor relations. She also serves as editor of the Flyway magazine.
Kathy brings to Detroit Bird Alliance valuable years of experience in nonprofit communications and donor management. Prior to her nonprofit work, Kathy taught English Literature and Writing at Wayne State University and College for Creative Studies, both in Detroit.
Kathy’s love of the natural world began when she was very young. She learned from her botanist uncle, her wildlife photographer uncle, and her mother, who always kept a bird book and binoculars in her kitchen cupboard.
