Conservation

Our conservation efforts are focused on creating safe spaces for birds in urban places.

Since 2018, we’ve been creating more habitat for birds by transforming underutilized parks in the City of Detroit into intentional meadows that benefit birds and people. Detroit Bird Alliance also works in multiple ways to educate homeowners, building owners, and developers about the impact artificial lights and windows have on bird populations and how to prevent deadly bird collisions.
