Meet Kelly Konieczki

Kelly Konieczki is an outdoor educator and ECE Advocate who is committed to teaching others about 1000 Hours Outside. If you have not yet joined her on one of the field trips she leads for us, put that on your birding bucket list with your family!

We asked Kelly a few questions about what inspires her to volunteer with Detroit Bird Alliance:

What initially motivated you to volunteer with Detroit Bird Alliance? 

I'm passionate about sharing my love for nature and saw volunteering as a great opportunity to connect with more people while supporting an organization that I love! 

How long have you been volunteering with Detroit Bird Alliance?

Being part of an incredible community! DBA encompasses so many talented and passionate individuals working together to make a difference. 

What would you tell someone who is thinking about volunteering with Detroit Bird Alliance?

There are many ways to get involved, no matter what your skill level or passion is! 

What do you wish other people knew about Detroit Bird Alliance?

Aside from field trips and presentations, DBA's efforts include amazing conservation projects like Detroit Bird City, where vacant lots are being converted into beautiful green spaces that support birds and pollinators!
